SS11 Colour

I thought it best to start at the very beginning, to work towards and understand next season better. The SS11 catwalks happened months ago, but here is a quick look at the prominent colours shown. It is a transition for a time when we are still all feeling rather sensible and responsible in our decision making. These colours are moving on from AW10/11, full of mustard, khaki, military, camel, rusts and bronze, and the long lost SS10 of nudes, ivory, nautical navy with light denim blues.
This palette for SS11 is built on softs to reflect the emerging pastels, with candyfloss pink, cloudy sky blue and soft greyed out mint. The icy popsicle and citrus brights are against a vibrant sky of almost indigo blue which will turn deeper in AW11/12 and a wine based red that will fade out over summer months. Light elephant grey is becoming a staple neutral, as well as desert sand yellows, which have developed out of all the khaki and mustard we have had in the past season.
Any combination of these colours could be relevant, but I will endeavour to show palettes and combinations over the following weeks before posting the AW11/12 forecast.
