Summer 2012 is set to be a season with a lot going on. Following the summer prior, full of popsicle brights, and a winter of more subdued, but still intense colours, we will be looking to take a bit of a break from all that pops, and mix things up with clean pastels and greys. We will still have a bright hangover, but these hues will move into sweet pinks and rich peppermint based greens.
Greys will continue to be a staple, lightening from winter, but keeping the clean unbiased base. Pastels will also be very fresh and light, worn together, or mixed in with something with a bit more kick.
To counteract it all, for the more radical amongst us, there will be a black out during the summer months, creating a modern and simple aesthetic to rebel against our hectic surroundings, and help us make a smooth transition into Autumn.
