Emerging Colour: Blood Orange

Lets just say its a hunch. I feel like I have been seeing blood orange everywhere, but for some reason, can not find current reference pictures to prove it. Such a vibrant, saturated colour is hard to miss when you're out and about, and it looks so lovely against sun kissed skin at the end of summer.

Seasons are changing here in London. The air has started to get a slight chill in the early mornings, and the days are just that little bit darker in the evenings. Maybe that is why it has been emerging recently; so fresh and summery, but deep and autumnal at the same time.

AW12/13 Colour forecast

I've been on a bit of an extended break over the holiday season, traveling from the extreme cold in London, to the beautiful bright light of New Zealand summer and back again.
No excuses for the lack of posts though, so here is the forecast for Autumn/Winter 12/13!

I'm really excited about these colours, they seem so fresh and have great potential for some interesting and original combinations. The general vibe I'm channelling is slightly 70's, with some muted dirty darker pastels, originating from the bright clean pastels of Summer 12. Camels, browns and gold are mixed with greys, while jade green and retro orange brighten things up a bit. Bring on fashion week!
